Body

Driven by a fascination for a world that hides from our sight, a space where life originates, dark and invisible to the eye. By sculpting in clay, new volumes got shape, hollow, balloon like sculptures, smashed by their own gravity. Body-sized vessels came into being, soft toned, curvy shaped, somewhat in between happy and heavy.

Screen printings of a detailed image of the sculpture on soft and silky fabric transformed the heavyness of the ceramics into a medium that can hold the body again. The meaning transforms, by the chosen carrier of information.
